Guests Galore!

The last few weeks we have had a blast with all of our guests who have come to visit.  As well as, our trip to the Ragged Islands in between, which has been our delay from posting.  Anyway, as they say pictures are worth a thousand words so that is our plan to post some pictures!

My Dad came the third week in April to Georgetown for the Family Island Regatta (that was a blast).  We gave him a festie welcome by spending a few days in Emarald Bay Marina, cleaning up and putting up the flags on the boat.  We  rolled into G-Town with much flair!

We had a fun week, hanging out and milling around town.  Georgetown was really buzzing, as this is the big fiesta of the year for all of the Bahamas.  People come from all the out islands to party and have fun this week.

Brandon got to race one of the Class A boats called the Anna Nicloe which has a bit of history behind this boat (always last in a race).
Dad had a great time and it was nice to have him aboard too.

Then Brandon and I got a wild hair and decided to book it down South to the Ragged Islands!!!  Check this out on a chart because we were less than 60 miles from CUBA!!  Which as you can imagine I was bucking to do; however, our second guests on board were due to arrive in Staniel Cay on the 8th, so we had to pass on the trip to Cubal.

What a wonderful visit we have had with Mike, Beth, George and Theresa!

These are our Sail Harbor buddies from Savannah, GA.  Some of you have had the pleasure to meet.
With this crew we picked them up in Staniel Cay and snorkled all over the place.

We did the famous Thunder Ball Cave (007 movie) and even Bella swam into the cave.  She was quite the rock star that day, as she usually is.

We went on the outside up to Cambridge the next day and drug a few lines behind the boat.

George caught a nice Mahi, and Mike reeled in a huge baracuda.

The next day, we went to Cambridge Cay to snorkel an old airplane wreck and the "Aquarium".  The Aquriuam was interesting for many reasons.  Lots of pretty fish etc.... The first one in the water was Brandon who saw and took pictures of a BIG Bull Shark but did not feel the need to share this tidbit of info w/the rest of us (go figure).

We did not find out about the shark until way later in the evening after dinner and a few cocktail when Brandon decided to play a fish identification slide show for us all.....hmmmmmm. We were all blown away to learn that we had been swimming with sharks, but Brandon assured us that if there had been any danger, he would have gotten Bella in the dingy FIRST, then he would have let us know.
So today is Friday May 14th and our guests just left this morning.  We all had a ball and many laughs.  Brandon is snoozing right now and I will be shortly.  Just wanted to get something up on the blog before we move on.  Which looks like tomorrow we just haven't decided which route we want to take back North.

Hope everyone is well and happy back in the states we miss you all!

Love
Brandon (sleepy boy). Carryn (who will never drink coffee again), and Sweet Bella Boo
